Social Media: How To Build A Strong Promotional Strategy

Social media is playing a vital role in promotion of content and connecting with people. When we wake up in morning, we like to have mobile in one hand and a cup of coffee on the other. We love to interact with family members, friends, strangers etc., We see lots of ads moving throughout the timeline. You will find the similar condition in noon and bed time. These activities declare that people can’t stay away from social networking channels.  

Seeing the importance of social media, companies have started promoting their business through social networking channels. Social media giants like Facebook, Google+, Linkedin have given opportunity to promote business by creating individual profile and reach people directly. 

Now keeping all the above said words, the biggest question which comes in our mind is “ How to build a strong strategy to promote business through social networking channels.”

For building a strong promotion strategy, you need to keep in mind following things:
  • 1. Create a game plan & stick to it: If you are having wonderful content on your blogs and you’re not promoting them on social networks, then the total effort given by you is useless. You need to promote your business strongly on social networks. Create a game plan and analyse your competitors' business strategy. Set a limit of tweets you do on twitter, post on Facebook or Google+. Use third party application like hoot suite, tweet deck, buffer for scheduling future post.
  • 2. Presence on Social Networking Channels: Mark your presence on best social networking channels. Use them efficiently by creating separate strategy for each platforms. For example - Pinterest is a picture optimisation site, where you submit images with description and details to get maximum clicks but if we talk about LinkedIn, it is a platform where people like to hear more about business & education. You need to understand your audience and plan your strategy accordingly. 
  • 3. Interaction with your audience: Interacting with your audience is the best way to review them. Always try to reply the post or questions asked by others. Never ignore them, This can hurt the trust and you may loose those potential audience. If you answer them with their queries, this builds a strong trust on your business and they will love to come again and again to join your future conversation. To get engagement on your business profile try to manage contest, giveaways, make humorous post to entertain them and create them as a free brand promoters.
  • 4. Tracking Report: Always track the report of all the business platforms you’re working. Track the performance of your business, check the stats on: no of posts, follower growth, number of likes, clicks to your site, engagement on your page, page views, etc. This will help you to know how your strategy is working. If your strategy is good and you’re getting good response then it is fine or else make some modification on it. Consult with other social media experts and share your concept, They can help you to frame better plans.
  • 5. Paid Campaign: Paid campaign has become the biggest powerful handle to promote business. Facebook ads, twitter promoted tweets, Pinterest & LinkedIn paid services are some of the biggest examples. They increase your reach with the audience and help in direct interaction with them.
